How to create a Business Content Source in PowerShell - Specifying a External Data Source RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

When creating a Content Source in SharePoint 2013, choosing the Business type. We then have an option to Select the External Data Source components. How is this done in PowerShell? So far i have the code:

    $search = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication
    $lobSystems = @("LOBSystemName1","LOBSystemNameInstance1")
New-SPEnterpriseSearchCrawlContentSource -name "BDC content source" -searchapplication $search -Type Business -LOBSystemSet $lobSystems

When i create the content source though the GUI i have two choices of external data sources (sourceA and sourceB). I want to pick one of these (SourceA). like this:

I thought the answer was to replace the of the Lovsystems-line above with:

    $lobSystems = @("LOBSystemName1","sourceA")

But that failed. A content source is created but the external source is not specified.

any tips will be appreciated! :)
