SharePoint Calendar View - Ability to Show Weekly Agenda Style View like Outlook? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My workplace is trying to utilize a SharePoint site for efficiency and trying to migrate some from Outlook. One of the things we are looking to do replicate and print our calendar to go over in meetings in weekly agenda style view so it's easy to read, like Outlook has the ability to do when printing. Is there any way we can create this on SharePoint?

I've heard it's possible but if can get SharePoint to Classic but I can't find the way to do that after a ton of searching.

  • Hi radmadd,

According to my research, by design, SharePoint calendars don't have this kind of functionality.

As a workaround, in this case, the best advice is to recommend that you still use outlook to view and print these calendars.

    Thank you for your understanding.

1.You can import the calendar into Outlook and print the same format as Outlook calendars.

    Open SharePoint Calendar in Outlook

Open the calendar that you want to print on the SharePoint website.

Click "Connect to Outlook" in the "Actions" group on the "Calendar" tab.

Click "Allow" to confirm that you want to allow the SharePoint website to open Outlook on your computer. Outlook automatically opens.

Click "Yes" to confirm that you want the SharePoint calendar to connect to Outlook. The SharePoint calendar automatically appears in Outlook under "Other Calendars."

    2.Print the SharePoint Calendar

Click "Other Calendars" in the navigation pane in the left side of the window. Click the SharePoint calendar to open it.

Click the "File" tab in Microsoft Outlook, then click "Print."

Select "Calendar Details" style under "Print What" to print the complete details of the SharePoint calendar.

Click "Print Options" to select print options such as the date range or printing a specific page. Click "Print" after selecting your options to print the SharePoint calendar.

    Best regards

  • Hi there,

Sorry for the delay. We've looked into this before, the only issue is that we want to use it for our team calendar and we have to uses overlays in order to color code. And from what I've found there is no way to print overlays in Outlook.

    Thanks!
