Creating Subsite using Custom Site Template RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All:

I am creating a subsite programmatically using a custom site template. The code works fine and it does create a subsite but when I try to access it I get HTTP 404 error that ' The Resource Cannot be found asd/default.aspx can not be found.'

    i.e.

    The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

    Requested URL: /asd/default.aspx

When I open SharePoint designer and open the site, I can see 'asd' folder created and I can see under 'asd' folder there is a customized default.aspx page there. Not sure why SharePoint portal can't see it.

I get same error when I try to create a Subsite using Site Action menu from browser, so it means that is not the code which is giving me this error.

Not sure what I am missing.

    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks
