I have some problems with setting my gmail IMAP account on my Outlook 2010. I added my gmail account all by default and in outlook it keep saying that it's working on folder sync. At first remaining time was 1min, then it started raising up, and I'm stuck
at 2 hours now ... nothing is moving on.
on Gmail page I checked how many emails I have and size of all of them. I have like 5000 emails with 1GB total space. My home internet connection is 16MB, so I can download with speed of 2MB/s. That sync already downloaded more then 2GB of files, and I'm
wondering from where ... I had that problem before, so this time I prepared everything to monitor this. At begining my inetrnet speed was overloaded and it was downloading 2MB/s. Now just like few kb/s and still syncing
Have u tried this several times? by closing ourlook? May be outlook is stucked.. if you have lot of attachments in your email account, and if you have a antivirus/internet security with spamguard, email malware check this could also cause such effects..
If u have antivirus which inspect emails in outlook, try to disable antivirus temporarily and check as a problem isolation method..( ITS not recommended to keep the antivirus disabled forever..)
in combination with that you can try
outlook safemode (which will not load antivirus plugins attached to outlook)
