User Profile service Sync errors RRS feed

  • Good morning all, 

     I have an issue with the User Profile Synchronization service that I am looking for some insight on.  Up until recently the User Profile service and the associated Synchronization job were working without errors.  Now however the job is failing to update user information from AD.  

    A rebuild of the service was performed, but that did not clear the issue.  Everything appears to be running ok from a timer job perspective, but when looking at the FIM Service Manager (miisclient.exe) the DS_FULLSYNC job errors out with a 'stopped-database-connection-lost' message.  This seems unusual as the DS_DELTAIMPORT which uses the same agent completes with no errors.

    Has anyone run across this before, or have any insights as to what may be occurring?
