KB3142030 Breaks Lync/Skype For Business Conferencing Functionality and PowerPoint Presentations

Question

Just a heads up as this is a new issue that is making the rounds, so I am posting just so searching for answers comes easier than it did for me. Kind of a public service message.
KB3142030 (.NET 4.5 Security Update) broke Lync 2013 Conferencing Internally when sharing notes, Polls, whiteboards, and PowerPoint presentations. I heard of some issues with Desktop Sharing working sporadically for some people or not at all too. PowerPoint presentations were the first thing that was reported to me.
Here are articles to reference. The work-around did not work for me, but uninstalling the Security Patch did fix it.

Dear Jeffy,
Your KB should be KB3142030, , Please correct it asap.
I removed this update which fixed the Whiteboard, Poll and Q& A issue.

In addition to that Jeff. If you run Lync server 2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2, watch out for KB 3142033 al broke White Boarding, polling, power point presentation on Windows 2008 R2. But if you run Lync Server 2013 or Skype for Business on Window Server 2012 n ( R2), the KB KB3142030, is the one that broke White Boarding, polling, powerpoint presentation.Saturday, June 11, 2016 11:06 PM

Just to clarify...did this break Lync by installing it on Lync servers? Client servers? Or Exchange servers?Saturday, August 6, 2016 10:59 AM
