I purchased via work account and downloaded from internet Office 2010 professional plus on my laptop #1 and also ordered the back-up disk. Laptop #1 is on it's way to the junk pile. I went to load Office onto new laptop #2 via the disk and
it asked for the product key. I can for short periods of time boot up the old laptop. Can the product key be found in some file on the old, laptop #1. Would need to know exactly where to go look as it's hard disk is limping along.
Ensure you select the relevant global/regional link.
You can find a "Customer Support" link on this page, which explains how to get a re-send of the information you need.
This will be sent to your work email address, as HUP is tied to your employment.
Alternately, you could use a 3rd part utility like Nirsoft Produkey, or, Belarc Advisor, to retrieve the product key from your old pc.
