Webcam program not existing after installing Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a HP laptop (Pavilion dv2000) which had Vista on it and I had a program called 'Youcam' on it which was the program I used to operate my webcam. Yesterday I installed Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) and it's disappeared and I do not know how to reinstall it. I looked but it seems it's onlt compatible with Vista. Help.

  • The vista driver should work fine. If it will not install, use the compatibility switch, available by righ-clicking on the installer.

  • Hi Jenna1989,

You can first try the Compatibility Mode as Vegan mentioned. For the detailed steps, please refer to: HOW TO: Install a Hardware Device Driver using Compatibility Mode

If the issue persists, it is recommended contacting HP directly to confirm if there is any driver and firmware update for this webcam.

  • Thanks it worked fine :)

I was wondering how to get QuickPlay installed again. The buttons work but they no longer turn orange when I touch them. Help?
