Possible to create audience rule based on dynamic date? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've looked extensively on this board (and on the internet) for an answer to this question and not sure if it's even possible, so here goes:

I would like to create an audience in SharePoint with a single rule. The rule looks at the user profile "Birthday" attribute that is a date. The rule will include users in the audience if their "birthday" is equal to the current date at the time the audience is compiled.

The rule obviously would need to be compiled everyday. Every day the rule is compiled the current date would be different than the day before and the audience membership would be updated.

We'd like to build an audience like this so we can target content on our portal to users who have a birthday.

Problem is it doesn't look like you can build such a rule. When you create your rule for a date you have to specify a definitive date. You can't (in otherwords) use something like "[Today]" as the rule like I would expect.

    Does anyone have any suggestions??

    Thanks!!
