Small Business with half Outlook 2011 and half Outlook 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are a small business and were recently advised to switch to Outlook for our work emails, as calendar sharing and meeting will be essential for a productive office environment. 2 people are running on PCs (Outlook 2013) and 3 people are on MACs (Outlook 2011). In order to calendar share we had to sign up for Office 365 Exchange Online. We have now linked our Outlook to Exchange Online and are trying to calendar share and send meeting invitations. This is where the issues come in:

    1. If a MAC sends out an invite to a meeting to the company, the other MACs receive it in their Outlook and can accept or deny within the email. But the PCs only get a link to view the invitation to their Exchange Online account and have to accept within there. If they accept the invite it only shows up on their Exchange Online account and doesn't show up in Outlook.

    2. We have been successful in sharing the calendars between similar operating systems. But it won't connect between different operating systems.

Has anyone been have issues running Outlook between different OS? HELP!
