Exchange DAG DR PLanning RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

I Have Exchange 2013 server running in primary site . Following are the details

    2 DCs

2 MBX  and 2 CAS servers

I have DAG Configuration in place for 2 MBX servers

Now we are planning a DR site with 1 DC and 2 Exchange servers to start (1 MBX+1 CAS servers)

Now i want to add DR Exchange server in existing DAG

MAPI Network for Primary and Secondary Site MBX server

    MBX1-192.168.1.3

    Mbx2-192.168.1.4

    DAG Ip - 192.168.1.5

    MBX3 -DR- 192.168.2.4

Now as per my understanding  I should have additional DAG ips on other subnet as well, apart from this DAC mode should be enabled, now  i have questionon replication network

    Current Replication Network

    MBX1- 10.0.0.1

    MBX2- 10.0.0.2

What About DR MBX server how should i have replication network configured

Also please help me iwth any special network consideration for site Reslince , basically i want to extend my  DAG to DR SITE as well

  • This has all that you need.....

But, why are you splitting the Exchange roles out?  Not our recommended guidance, and that is not even possible in Exchange 2016.....

and don't split the REPL traffic. Single NICs for the win.
