Cant access lync control panel RRS feed

  • Question

  • i have troubles opening the lync server control panel, when i login using my administrator i get "navigation to the webpage was canceled".

to get the obvious out of the way:

    - DNS record for admin already added, pointing at lync FE server

    - The user, used for loggin in is member of CSAdministrator

    - I am able to ping between the Lync FE and and AD

    - IIS https setup, ip:all unassigned port 443,is set to use the lync FE certificate

if any further information is needed please tell me

  • sadly, this wont help.

i forgot to mention that the control panel was working until yesterday, and no changes were made to the lync or ad since working condition.

i have searched a lot of solutions for this problem, and double checked that every setting is in place. still not working.

  • Is this issue for your account only or all admin also can't access Lync Control Panel?

Also Verify from certificate of Lync FE isn't expire or damaged.

  • Hi,

Did you change the simple URL to access Lync server Control Panel? If yes, please make sure you also change for DNS record and certificate. You can run the Enable-CsComputer on each Front End server to register the change.

Please also make sure W3SVC work normally.

You can refer to the link below of “Troubleshooting Lync Server 2013 Control Panel”:

  • for now its working, i have no idea why. i still changed nothing. this morning it wasn't working then i tried to restart.

after reboot it worked for some reason.

I would still like to hear suggestion to what could have caused this temporary problem.

  • I would like to know how you access the control panel - from the server itself, from your workstation - inside the office LAN or outside ( if published )

Do you have any event ID to get a clue.

  • im accessing the control panel from the server itself.

the reqeust is going through the AD where the DNS is located, and back to self.
