Media Player Webpart Error

    Question

  • When I tried to use the media player web part I get this message.

"This operation requires that the new SharePoint user experience be active. A
Site Owner or Administrator can enable the new experience from the Site Actions
menu or from Site Settings option "Title, description, and appearance."

  • Before I attempt an answer, please realise that these are free forums, it's good form to wait at least a day before bumping a post.

Your post doesn't tell us much, and that's not a web part of an error message I'm familiar with.  I'd like to ask: -

    1. What version of SharePoint are you using?
    2. Have you upgraded from SharePoint 2007?
    3. Have you run the visual upgrade if the answer to question 2 is "yes
    4. Can you advise in more detail what you were trying to do?
