Move Outlook 2010 email to OneNote RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to create a macro so that when i click on the macro icon, it will MOVE the emails from Outlook to OneNotes. I know currently there is a "Send to OneNote" icon to COPY email from Outlook to OneNotes .... Everytime i finish 'sending' my email to OneNote, i have to come back to Outlook to delete away the emails.

I am hoping to have a macro that "MOVE email to OneNote".

Can anyone advise me how to create the macro ?

Much appreciate and thanks in advance

  • Hi Kelvin,

I'm afraid there is no such a VB macro would do that. You would need to use a VSTO Add-into repurpose the Ribbon and capture the click event for the Send To OneNote Ribbon button. Then you can use Explorer.Selection (or ActiveInspector) to get a handle to the active MailItem object to delete it.

For more help about macro issues, I suggest you to post your question to the forum for developer:

For questions about VSTO, you can post your thread to the forum for Visual Studio Tools for Office:

  • Kelvin,

Did you ever develop this Macro?  I'd love to get a copy of it.
