  • Hi sree_23,

As the error message indicates Office Web Apps doesn't support this feature "Data validation”.

You could change the setting on the Document Library to open the files in the client application instead of opening via the web app.

Go to Library Settings>Advanced Settings>Change the 'Opening Documents in the Browser' to "Open in the client application".

Doing that will force the file to open in the client application. This might be the better option if you don't want to remove Data Validation or whatever else is not supported via the browser.

In addition, you need to use the 32-bit Internet Explorer. Most SharePoint sites have not made everything compatible with the 64-bit IE.

To check what IE you are using, call up IE, go to Help, click on About - if it saids "256-bit" that is the 32 bit.

    Best regards
