Central Admin Remote Access RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We recently turned on web analytics and when we try and access this remotely we are getting the following error:  "There are no addresses available for this application".  If i go on the server and access it I am able to get in without issue.   Are we able to access this remotely and if so i how do we set that up?  Second, I am guessing this is a problem accessing the central admin remotely so how do we get it setup so we can access the central admin as a whole remotely?   Finally, we tried getting web analytics to work on our test server but we simply get an unexpected error has occured.  what do we need to do to get this to function?

If i try and access these on the server I don't have any issues.

I know there are a number of questions here but I dont' know if they are related.

    Thanks for the help.

  • You can create a DNS name for Central Admin and then add that URL to IIS as host header. That way you will be able to access central admin from outside.
