Can not send mail to internet RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am having a few issues with adding  send connector, first is I can't add from Exchange admin web interface. When I add I can get as far as trying to add the namespace, when I click the + to add the namespace nothing happens (do not get the pop-up to enter the parameters. After that was not successful, i added from the Powershell console, it added an DNS connector where the messages stuck and will not send ( just keeps retying ). I disabled then removed the connector from the exchange web gui, them added smtp connect from powershell console. Even through I have removed the DNS connector, the server still try to continue to use it. Messages are stuck and wont user the other connector.

  • Hello Mahmud,

You can use this syntax or command for creating the send connector through the PowerShell.

new-SendConnector -Name 'Send connector to Internet' -Usage 'Internet'-AddressSpaces 'smtp :*;1' -DNSRoutingEnabled $true UseExternalDNSServersEnabled $false -SourceTransportServers 'SQA-LCS2005'

If Exchange Administrator is not able to perform create connector via Power-shell Command, then you can try Exchange Management Configuration.

    Thanks & Best Regards,

  • I was able to add new connector via Powershell, but still can not send. Mail still stuck in queue and looks like it is still using DNS connector, thanks for the help.

  • Hi Mahmud100,

About those messages stuck in queue, I would suggest you open Queue Viewer, then choose delete them without send DNR:

Then use command below to remove all your send connector:

    Get-SendConnector | Remove-SendConnector

If there exist some send connectors your need, don't use this above below, you can disable them:

Make sure delete or disable all send connector, then use command below to create a new send connector:

New-SendConnector -Name "To internet" -AddressSpaces * -Internet

    Try to send email again.

Create a Send connector in Exchange Server to send mail to the internet

    Regards,

    Kyle Xu

  • is it possible that you give us the configuration of your send connector?

    Get-SendConnector | fl *

What DNS Server is configured on your Exchange sever? has this DNS Server configured forwarding or is it only an DNS Server for your Domain?
