An Unexpected system error has occured while creating a new data source in Dashboard Designer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Hope someone can help me because this has got me pulling my hair out. I am still unable to get PerformancePoint Dashboard to let me set up a datasource.  It throws an error "An unexpected system error has occured.  Additional details have been logged for your administrator."  When I log into the SharePoint server and look at the event console I see the follow message.

An unexpected error occurred.  Error 52068.

    Exception details:

System.ServiceModel.ServerTooBusyException: The HTTP service located at http://spdev:32843/2d2c798c5ab245e08908fb18e18204a5/PerformancePointService.svc is too busy.  ---> System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable.

My installation at the moment consists of a single Windows 2008 R2 Standard with SP1. I have installed Sharepoint 2010 Enterprise and SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard, and I have an unattended service account for PerformancePoint Services.

I only have two managed accounts. One is a Farm Administrator and the other is for PerformancePoint Services.

I have tried installing a hotfix KB976462 for x64(v2) but it says it is not applicable for your computer.

Any help anyone is able to offer would be greatly appreciated!
