Migration to new ; not replicate old RRS feed

  • Question

  • Customer wants new SP presence; does not want to replicate current site collection construction.

    SP 2010 to 2013

How is this done?  First guess is must create a "repository" for the content to migrate "to" as a final destination.

Anyone have experience, would  like to share pitfalls and successes?

  • Hi,

Could you talk more about your scenario?

Could you tell me your old construction and the new construction you want to achieve? According to your requirement, I can provide a solution to you.

By the way, you can update your environment to new construction, then migrate to 2013.

  • Hi IvyGrad,

As Dean suggested you can change your current environment to the new construction as your client wants and then migrate to SP2013.

  • As per the other contributors to this thread, some more info would be useful  I'd look to understand what's wrong with the current set-up as per the client's eyes to ensure that new pitfalls aren't created.
