Checking Lync 2013 Enterprise SQL Witness state RRS feed

  • Hello everyone,

    I configured Lync 2013 with Mirror and Witness and would like to know how do I check if Witness is configured properly and ready to work properly in case of failover.

    when I type the command "Get-CsDatabaseMirrorState" this is what I get ...

  • That screenshot looks correct.

    The column is partner_sync_state_desc and it's the last column if you scroll to the right.

  • Because it uses SQL Server mirroring you could execute "SELECT * FROM sys.database_mirroring_witnesses" on your witness server. It should return all the databases and their current state to IN_SYNC.

    I executed the query and didn't get the IN_SYNC but this is what it returned...

  • Hi,

    You just make sure the witness has been configured correctly and try to check SQL Mirroring services on SQL Management studio. You can refer to this link to verify the SQL Mirroring configuration.
