Outlook 2013 keeps disconnecting with Exchange Server 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a client who outlook 2013 emails just sit in the outbox

    Recreated the profile
    Unjoin from domain
    Join the domain
    Flushed DNS
    Used static IP
    Turnoff off cached mode
    Update the network driver
    Running wire shark now

Send Immediately” is enabled in Advanced settings.
Windows Firewall - Turn off and try
    Kicked it hard

I have enabling logging in Outlook 2013  the %temp%\outlook logging\OPMLog.log file logs no events of receiving items at all. There have been messages received, and yet no trace of them in the OPMLog.log file. This is the case for an Outlook 2013 client  using the same Exchange server 2013

    OS is Windows 7 x64 (Office 2013)

It does not seem to matter if I tag or untag Online Mode or Cached Mode. As well as it does not matter if I tag or untag the "Oultook Anywhere" or RPC over HTTP.

  • If this is happening for a single user, then you should see if antivirus is not blocking the connection. Also try to configure the profile on another pc and check.

  • Ok I give that a try Only issues is group policy, plus my company security team might not like that I may have to format the pc
    Saturday, September 15, 2018 6:52 AM
  • If this user works on another pc then format can help, but that can also be waste of time. What about wem email, are you able to send receive emails in web.

  • hi,

webmail works, but I not left in on all day picking up emails

I will try that on Monday when the user is back, maybe a repair of office 2013

  • Then it seems no issue from the server end and it is related to client or network related.

User test connectivity to find issue:-

    https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/

    Test outlook connectivity options there.

  • Hi jwc1972,

I would suggest you try to migrate this mailbox to other database, then try to reconfigure this mailbox in Outlook again.

If this phenomenon still exists, please click Connection Statue to have a check whether there exist a connection erro.
