Exchange 2013 DR site RRS feed

  • I'm trying to put together a plan to create and switch to our DR site if needed. I just need to bounce this off of someone in the forum. The docs that I am reading state that you need a separate external namespace for your DR site to redirect your service points. Why can't you just redirect your primary namespace to the DR site until you're ready to switch it back?

    Exchange 2013 simplified namespace deployment. So you can deploy in an unbound (ie same namespace across sites) or bound (different namespaces) models.

    So you are correct that you can use the same namespace and repoint DNS to point at the respective site you want to point at.
