Outlook 2016 download old e-mails from Office 365 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have some users that used the Office 365 portal for sending e-mail some time before they started using Office 2016 for Mac. However when they started using Outlook for Mac, it would only download some of the newer e-mails but not all of it. In the Windows version of Outlook there's a slider for setting how far back it should download e-mails, but I have yet to find a similar feature in the Mac version. Is there a way to get Outlook for Mac download all your e-mail from Office 365?

  • Hi,

Based on my knowledge, there is no Sync Slider settings in Outlook for Mac.

In your scenario, are you connection to your Office 365 account with Exchange connection? On Mac, please click Sync Status and Sync Error to confirm if there is any error.

Additionally, please try to create a new profile on Mac to narrow down the issue:

  • The client connects to Office 365 using an Exchange Connection. There are no sync issues between the client and server. The profile was new when the problem started, but we created a new one per your recommendation and the problem persists.
