Filter List on QueryString Parameter in SharePoint Standard (no Filter web parts??) RRS feed

  • How can I filer a SharePoint List in a MySite Page's querystring URL parameter or by the account or username?

    SP Standard appears to not come with a Filter web part group!

    (A) You can place the list view web part on page and pass parameters in URL. Make sure the field you are trying to filter is there in list view you have dropped on the page.

    You can append a filter like mentioned below.



    (1) pageURL.aspx is the page where you have put the web part

    (2) FilterField1: Filed Internal name, that you want to use to filter the data

    (3) FilterValue1: Value om the column by which you want to filter

    (B) There are multiple OOB filter webparts that can help you with filtering page data.

  • thanks but... SharePoint Standard does not come with the Filter web parts.  Only Enterprise?? Strange as this does not seem like an Enterprise feature.

    Maybe there are some 3rd party filter web parts.  Any ideas?
