  • Question

  • Hi,

I installed kb3039779 to upgrade lync 2013 to skype for business 2015. After doing rollback i.e. uninstalling kb3039779 manually from Add/Remove programs, shortcut for "skype for business 2015" and "Skype for Business Recording Manager" does not get uninstall/delete. However, Lync 2013 is visible after doing rollback and working as expected.

    Any suggestion/idea?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Would you please tell us why you want to rollback to Lync client from Skype for Business client?

Base on my test, it seems that the shortcut for "Skype for Business 2015" and "Skype for Business Recording Manager" will not back to Lync after uninstall the latest KB from Add/Remove programs.

There is no impact to use Lync client, but only the confuse of the icon. As the Skype for Business client is updated, you can update to Skype for Business client.

    Best Regards,
