Set Default Sender as Shared Mailbox

    Question

  • Hi,
    I need this:
    user "Alice" with mailbox,
    Mailbox "info" shared.
alice user with permissions "full access" and "send as" on mailbox "info".

I need to set (in Outlook 2013), "info" as the default sender. not "alice"!
    you can do it?

    thanks in advance.

  • You have to create a separate profile for what you're trying to accomplish.

  • Thanks. It made the trick for me.

You can create a profile for the Shared Mailbox and add the personal account as an additional mailbox so you do not need to switch between profiles. It is the same, just with a different default account (Shared Mailbox instead of personal account).

This is old post but i need help on the same subject.

when i create a profile for shared mailbox support@abc.com and add the user mailbox as secondary, i have the support@abc.com twice in my outlook. once as its own mailbox and the other time under the user mailbox with full access. how do i remove it to appear under user mailbox with full access and send as permissions.

  • Have your Exchange Administrator remove the Automapping properties from the user's access to the shared mailbox.
