I need to change from using Outlook Express to Outlook. Outlook 2003 imports contacts from Outlook Express. Then one exports them into the address book. One can use the address book or contact list for emails. I need to sort by email
addresses, not just last name. Outlook address book does not seem to do this. My IT put a sort into contacts, but since they seem to work independently, once the emails change, one will no longer to sort all emails. It will mean double entry
into the contact list as well. I have XP Professional SP 3.
Does outlook 2007 or 2010 have the ability to sort email addresses alphabetically? Do the contacts work with addresses from contacts in an integrated manner? Thank you!
Names in the Address Book dialog box always appear in alphabetical order. You can't change this.
Names in the Contacts folder can be sorted in various ways by using views. For example, you can group contacts using By Company, By Location,
By Category, or by several other groupings. You can do this by selecting one of the view options in the Navigation Pane (Navigation Pane: The column on the left side of the Outlook window that includes panes such as Shortcuts or Mail and the shortcuts or folders
within each pane. Click a folder to show the items in the folder.).
