CAN'T SIGN INTO OUTLOOK EMAIL. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED AT POOR MICROSOFT SUPPORT

Question
-
I can't sign into my newly created email address... as soon as I tried to sign into it, it said "Call us overprotective" but we need to verify your account. It then said it would send me a verification email to the account in question. However, I CAN'T EVEN SIGN IN to the account to access the verification email. What a terrible verification system! Please help because this is so frustrating and the worst email experience I've ever had after only (trying) to use it for an hour.Wednesday, August 20, 2014 1:39 AM

Hi,
In the drop-down list, you should have an option called "I don't have these any more". Just click it to state you no longer have that account. Then you can update your security info with another account to finish the verification: https://account.live.com/proofs/marklost
For any follow-up questions, you should post in the forum of Outlook.com as your question is directly related to Outlook.com:

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.

If this is Office 365, you can try here:

If you cant get the help you need, you will need to open a support case with Microsoft.

Cool, can you link me to how to open a support case? I am pretty clueless because their support system is quite complicated for me to use.Wednesday, August 20, 2014 2:25 AM

Your issue is with Outlook.com - this forum is for Outlook (the desktop client). Questions related to Outlook.com should be posted in the following forum
(when posting your question - also be sure to identify what settings you used when creating your account - i.e. whether or not you configured it for 2 step authentication etc)
