Mail From External Contacts to shared mail box, should not get a copy of emails RRS feed

  • We have request from the Business Team

    We have DG for External Contacts

    A new shared mail box is created and any mail to the shared mailbox is been forwarded to the DG External Contacts

    Mail From External Contacts to this shared mail box, should not get a copy of emails  

    Please let me the possibility and suggestions

  • Hi,

    Do you mean you have created a distribution group for mail contacts in your organization? When a message is sent to the shared mailbox from the mail contact in this group, the message will be forwarded to this distribution group. Am I right?

    If so, do all mail contacts have this issue when they send emails to the shared mailbox?

    Please check if there are some transports rules that will forward the message to the mail contacts group.

    Try to remove one mail contact from the distribution group, and test if the email from this mail contact will be forwarded as well.

  • Mail Contacts which are part of Distribution group would get copy of  the mail received by Shared mailbox with a transport rule

    If mail contacts sends a mail to the shared mail box, sender (mail contact) should not get a copy of it
