Can not save changes to edited pages. Problem seems to be global, affecting many or all site collections.
When clicking on Save and Close an error appears that says :
Attempted to use an object that has ceased to exist. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80030102 (STG_E_Reverted)
Trying to track the correlation ID yields many entries.
One of the initial entries says Leaked record detected with address 000000000037BC248, name (unknown), and thread refcount 1.
Next, there are many entries for AddRef Stack (1) for record with address 000000000037BC248: owssvr.dll: (unresolved symbol, module offset=...
Need to get the system working again as soon as possible.
I am not a developer and there is no custom code involved in the farm. Most of the solutions I have seen online lead to problems in that area.
Any help solving this issue will be greatly appreciated!

If any change at all is prevented, then it could be that the database is set to be read only in SQL?

Created a new web front end server to fix the problem. Suspect that patches\updates may have caused this, but that is unverified at this point.
Would like to find a solution to this that would repair the existing server.
Patches were rolled back on the problematic front end, but did not fix the problem.
