Project 2013 JSGrid - Finding the task Guid in projectDrilldownComponent RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    In Project Server 2013, when extending the Project Details JSGrid, I'd like to fetch the active sellection's task Guid, however only the task Uid is retrieved (*integer). is there a way to get the task Guid using that integer (lookup?)?

    Do we need a whole different approach to get the task guid (create office context like in project client app examples)?

    kind regards,

    Roy Gilboa

  • Late answer to a question you probably already solved/worked around... But in case anyone else is curious, the way I solved it was by reading the value from the ID column of the selected task and just do a REST request using it in $skip and set $top=1. Not a very nice looking solution and not fool proof but it s a way to do it.

  • To get selected task UID use this code:

    _grid=window.projectDrilldownComponent.get_GridSatellite();
    _grid.GetCurrentlySelectedTaskKeys()[0]

    where [0] - index of selected rows. 0 - is the first selection.
