  • Question

  • I am finding that the bar styles dialogue box and the bar height dialogue box does not help me when I try to create bars of sufficient height.  It looks like all of the bars I am presented with are pencil thin and, also, the start (of bar) and finish (of bar) shapes are tiny.  Any pointers much appreciated. I am using Windows 10 and MS Project 2016

  • Hi,

    I'm not sure what is your issue. Maybe you could post a screenshot since I do not see any issue with the bar formatting. If you double click somewhere is the gantt chart, you should have a dialog box for setting the bar shape, beginning and end style.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hello

    I am having the same issue.

    In Gantt Chart Tool Tab (Format)

    * Select Layout command

          The Bar Height option has no affect on the gantt chart,

          every size from 6 to 24 pts, leave the bars as thin lines.

    Note: All bar options are at their default setting.

  • Are you running on a High DPI machine? You can tell by going to Windows Settings - System - Display. If the setting "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" is greater than 100%, you are running on a High DPI machine.

  • :)

    The High DPI settings was the issue.

    After resetting to 100%, Bar height works as expected.

    Thank You Very Much, Problem solved.
