Error in MS Project Visual Reports RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all,

I am working on a project schedule in ms project 2016. I have a master project with 13 sub-projects, each sub-project contains around 700 activities, I have assigned the resources as cost, and now when I want to create a visual report off my project following error comes up:

"Your project is too large to support reporting.

To create a report off your project, divide the project into smaller subprojects and do not expand inserted projects when opening a master project."

I would be truly to your help.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Qader,

Well I guess the error is fairly self explanatory and it would appear that you have reached the limit of the number of rows for a Visual Report.

  • Hi Ben,

I worked it out somehow but still the output is not as I desired it to be. I can create a report for each subproject separately, and have to do some manual work in Excel to reach what I want.

So you say this is the end of the way and I should refer to my manual way of preparing the report.

    Thanks!
