Project online took much time to check in the projects RRS feed

  • Hi Team,

    Project plans took much time (more than 40 mins)to check in the projects even after Force Check-in the project. It impacts my client activities.

    Please let me know the reasons and solution for this.

    Any help would be appreciate !..

  • Hello,

    The only reason I can think of is that a related job for that project was still processing, such as the Reporting Project Publish job. Check the Manage Queue page in PWA and you will see what is processing.

    Yes Paul, I have seen that the job was in waiting to be processed state. It was in same state up to 45 mins.

    Could you please provide the permanent solution to fix this issue(reduce project check-in time) .

    What was the job holding it up? Is this a large project plan (many tasks over a long duration etc.)? No fix here, just trying to understand the issue.  Are you using Project Server on-premises or Office 365 Project Online?
