Access Project Odata feed via OAuth / OData connector RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

can someone explain what steps to take to consume Project Online OData feed and authenticate via OAuth 2.0?

Background: Reporting at our customer is done via SAP BW. Thus, the BW should call the /_api/ProjectData/projects OData feed to get the master data of all projects and join them with finance data from SAP.

As it seems, SAP offers an OData connector that requires the following input:

    • OData URL
    • OAuth Client ID
    • Secret
    • Token URL

Or using the OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code as authentication type

    • OData URL
    • OAuth Client ID
    • Secret
    • Token URL
    • Authorization URL

Our steps were to use the App registration in Azure Portal to get Client ID, Secret and the Token / Authorization URLs. However, this doesn't seem to work so far and I don't know what to configure where to make it work.

Any ideas? Are we on the completely wrong track? Or is this kind of authentication for Project Online Odata feed / REST API not working?

    Thanks for any hints
