Enterprise calendar to open in Professional Client: Error opening on single Desktop clients RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Technet community,

I'd like to paste here a problem that I posted in the PWA forum as well. But my problem also concerns Project Pro:

    To summarize my problem:
2 Project users I support can't open the enterprise calendar on their organisation's tenant's PWA.

The users' machines run on Windows 10 mit Project Pro 32bit installed. Various up-to-date browsers were tested.

The affected users are in the respective security groups.

The Office Update KB2910954 was recently installed on the machines.

    a) Before the Office Update was installed the pop-up errror message was:

"This action could not be performed because Office does not know the command"

    b) After having patched the client the project can be opened in the Pro client does not open:

    From the event log:

Name of the erroneous application: PROTOC~1.EXE, Version: 16.0.4339.1000, Time stamp: 0x569509fd

Name of the erroneous module: NAMEEXT.DLL, Version: 16.0.4266.1001, Time stamp: 0x55ba11db

    Exception code: 0xc0000005

    Error offset: 0x000131ec

ID of the erroneous process: 0x7f8

    Path of erroneous application: C:\PROGRA~2\MICROS~4\Office16\PROTOC~1.EXE

Path of erroneous module: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\NAMEEXT.DLL

I would be glad if someone can give help or a hint for further trouble shooting.
