  • Is it possible to use VBA code to export tasks from custom filters in Microsoft Project to specific worksheets in an existing Excel spreadsheet, and maintain the outline structure?  Is it better to run the VBA in Project or Excel?

    Yes, very possible. Take a look at the following Wiki article. The export operates on the active view so the outline structure is maintained, as long the filtered view is not sorted.
