  • Hello,

    I am struggling with WSUS since a few days. Can you help me please?

    I have refused a lot of updates that was replaced with other versions in order to delete them definitely and liberate storage space; but when i use server cleaning wizard, nothing is deleted finally!

    I have to free the space, and i don't now how can i delete the old updates :(

  • The server cleanup wizard cleans out files, not the metadata from the database.

    As I answered before, you can consider removing WSUSContent and performing a WSUS reset operation, which will directly delete all the update files you have downloaded and re-acquire the required files based on the current approval status.
       

    This process takes a long time, please arrange the process reasonably.

  • You can delete contents of "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" folder.

  • I dont have any folder for 20/05/2019, updates's date that must be deleted.I have just folder from 08/19 to 09/19

  • Hi Sanae ez,
      

    I recommend that you first find the WSUSContent folder (this is usually located in your own location, or in "Program Files\Update Services\"), and then check its folder size. If you find that it is taking up too much disk space, please refer to the steps mentioned in this article: "What to do when your WSUSContent folder grows too large".

  • hello everybody,
    I have tried all your recommendations, but unfortunately in vain.
    another question please, If an update was refused and deleted by server cleaning wizard; why it remains displayed on the console?
