  • Hi,

Whoever you want to be the status manager, you will need to get them to open the project and insert the status manager column, their name will then appear there and they can then set the value.

    Thanks

  • For getting names listed in status manager column, who soever needs to be the status manager should open the plan atleast once from his login and save it once thats done his name would start appearing in status manager column

let us know if this works

  • Is there an alternate better way of changing the status manager by the PM who is the project owner as it's too cumbersome while there are too many people who need to approve initially or who keeps on changing as well during the project phase

No, there is no easier way to change the Status Manager value.  It must be done for each task in the project by the person who will actually approve task updates from the team members assigned to the task.  This is why you should NOT have multiple people managing a project.  It makes the whole task update approval and project management process way too cumbersome.

Also, I think it is time for you to start showing some good etiquette in the user forums.  Would you please mark a reply as the answer to your question for each of the questions you believe are answered?  Thanks!  Hope this helps.
