• Hi,

Thanks for posting in our forum!

Your question is not very clear.

What did you back up and report the mistake? What backup tool are you using? If you are using a third-party backup tool, please contact the vendor for support.

    Best Regards,

    Daniel

  • Hi,

Since the language you use is not English, after the translation software, I guess your question is:

When you use WBadmin to back up your system status, the backup failed, Event ID 517 error occurred on the event viewer, and when you run the VSSadmin list writers command, the system writer missing from the list.

If i misunderstand, please let me know.

If system writer missing, you can try to use the following methods.

Make sure the below services can be started normally without errors.

    Cryptographic Services

    VSS service

    COM+ Event System service

Check the security descriptor of the service

Cryptographic Services, if it's security descriptor is missing entry (A;;CCLCSWLOCRRC;;;SU) or it's not the default one, please correct it.

    You can use command

    Sc sdshow eventsystem

    Sc sdset eventsystem newSD

Then restart the service and list writer again.

If you see errors showing Access is denied.
