  • Question

  • Hello,

In queue job, Job status : Skipped for optimization. Can anyone provide some insights on this status of job. It never getting completed.

Couple of times we have noticed whenever we see this status, Project % completion drops, ex: task previous completion 100% drops back to previous completion percentage. do this behavior normal with this job?

  • Hi,

this is normal for Job Type "Status Update". This mainly happens if you have rules for status approval configured. I assume you will see Success just before "Status Update Rules (Auto-run Rules)" if your rules are set to auto-run.

When a user submits more than one status update for an assignment (e.g. hours for two different dates), this will start "Status Update" two times. But with the first job, all pending Status Updates are approved, so any additional runs can be skipped.

    Does that make sense?

  • Thank you Barbara for your reply.

There are no auto rules setup of this Project.

I pulled up the list of jobs entries which are with Project. Below is the sequence of the Project activities in the Queue.
