Field Mapping in Project Server Settings for Project Site Lists

Hello,
Maybe I am outdated in Project Server 2013. Recently I configured a custom list in a project site in List Setting and I found out the "Project Server Settings" option where I can "... map SharePoint fields to Project Server fields...".
I thought it would insert an option list or something like that, but nothing happened.
Does anybody know how it works?

Hi Ricardo,
You can preconfigure the column mapping with PS custom fields while using a sharepoint list for ideation. This is optional since you can manually do this mapping while converting the list item into a project.
