Does the MCSE 2003 Expire? RRS feed

  • Pergunta

  •  Can someone point me in the direction of the document that shows certification renewal/expiration info?  I'm assuming that the MCSE does expire, but maybe I'm wrong.  I'm coming up on my 3 year anniversary as an MCSE and I want to make sure there is nothing that I should do.  Thanks in advance!

  • In a word....No. The MCSE will no longer be obtainable after a certain date as the exams will expire. you are however certified for life once you pass all the required exams. There are no known public dates for the MCSE Exam Retirement, but my guess is not before MArch of 2010.

I'm not sure about the NT 3.51 (but I believe it's the same as the rest), however the MCSE for NT 4 is still valid, see here: http://www.trainsignaltraining.com/microsoft-certified-professional-part-2/2008-12-30/

Quote: Q. Are any of the legacy credentials (such as MCDST, MCP, MCSE, or MCAD) going to retire?
    A. No. The new retirement policy applies only to the MCTS, MCITP, and MCPD credentials. Currently, there are no plans to retire any of our legacy credentials.
