Windows XP to Windows 7 Upgrade

  • Is this the easiest and logical way to upgrade my home PC running on Windows XP? Or should I choose 8 or 10? How is the best way to perform the upgrade?

  • You should go for Windows 10.

    Windows XP isn't eligible for a free update to Windows 10.

    Before upgrading Windows XP to Windows 10, you should first figure out what Windows 10 minimum hardware specifications are:

    * Processor: 1GHz or faster processor or SoC
    * RAM: 1GB for 32-bit or 2GB for 64-bit
    * Hard disk space: 16GB for 32-bit OS or 20GB for 64-bit OS
    * Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
    * Display: 800x600 pixels or higher

    The media creation tool and Windows 10 installation media (ISO files) are available for customers to install Windows 10. If you’re installing Windows 10 for the first time, you’ll need to enter a valid Windows 10 product key and go for a clean install or buy a full version of Windows 10 during setup.
