Powershell - How to run a scheduled task scheduler job from a remote machine? RRS feed

  • Hi guys,

    I am trying to find a script which can run any task scheduler job on a remote machine. Any help would be appreciated!!

  • The schtasks command should be able to do that for you.

  • Thank you! But when I use this command, Powershell console displays this message: 

    SUCCESS: Attempted to run the scheduled task "TaskName".

    But I notice that this task is not running, Status in task scheduler shows "Queued". 

    This is the command which I have used:

    schtasks /run /s ServerName /tn "TaskName"

    Can anyone help?

  • Check the task's history tab to see if there is any relevant information.
