How to open and close IE using PowerShell?

  • I would like to know on how to open IE with URL (www.google.com) and wait 5 seconds, then close IE browers

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    $ie = Start-Process -file iexplore -arg 'http://www.google.com' -PassThru
    sleep 5
    $ie.Kill()

  • This opens the IE with the specified address. But it won't close it. The browser window stays.
