SNMP Configuration Script

    Question

  • Hello Guys,

I would like to ask your help to create a script to configure the following on SNMP service for Windows 2008 OS:

    1. Under AGENT tab it should put Contact: Distributed Services – ER and ask for the server´s location. I have 2 datacenter locations, Chicago and Houston. If it´s Chicago the script should add CHICAGO - AMERICAS DATACENTER, if it´s Houstou HOUSTON - AMERICAS DATA CENTER.

    2. Under TRAPS tab it should add Comunity Name as BPNT and for Trap destinations field it should ask again if it´s Chigago´s or Houston´s. If it´s Chicago it should add IP addresses 149.177.220.54 and 149.177.220.56. If it´s Houston it should add 149.177.156.177 and 149.177.156.116.

    3. Under SECURITY tab it should add Read Write permissions to BPNT and left the Accept SNMP requests for any hosts checked. After that restart SNMP service.

Let me know if you guys have anything already done that I could use as a model or if you can help me creating that.

    Thank you in advance!

    JP Santana
