Task Scheduler issue in Windows Server 2016 RRS feed

  • We have scheduled multiple scripts to run continuously for daily upto 15hrs in Windows Server 2016. Everyday 5:30am EST automatically it triggers all scripts (Batch file) as configured but not stopping when it reached 15hrs duration which we configured in settings tab. but it was working fine in lower version of Windows Server

  • Hi,

    It difficult to identify the reason. Please check Event Viewer and confirm that if there is any event log about failure task stopping, or relate etc.

  • In Settings tab, you can also enable the option "Stop the task if it runs longer than" to stop this task.

  • You can use expire option to stop the task after specific time period.

  • Thanks We will try that option and get back here. but trying to figure out - how come the duration option under settings is not working in this Windows Server 2016 which was working fine in lower version.
