ATA MongoDB encryption at rest RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have been asked by a Security Team if the data stored in the ATA MongoDB is encrypted at rest. I cannot find this information anywhere. I know that MongoDB that uses WiredTiger can encrypt its data at rest and this looked to be the one used for ATA, but I cannot find any reference to whether the data is encrypted within the database.

    Could someone please advise?

    Thanks,

    Stuart

Answers

  • The DB is not encrypted.

Specific secrets like passwords which you enter into the console are encrypted by the app before they are stored in the DB using the Center's certificate.
