  • Question

  • If I put Exchange Server on a new Windows server can the data or mail be keep on a NAS or does it need to be on the server H drive?

    For the clients can their data in Outlook be keep on a NAS?

    Currently we use a POP server bring the mail in via Outlook 2019 and store the pst files on a NAS.

    It's recommended to save data in mailboxes and Exchange databases. If you want to give more protection to your user data, you can back up your Exchange server data regularly.

    PST files over a share can cause issues with slowness in outlook. I would not keep databases on a NAS
